Foster Care fortnight might be ending on the 29 May, but the need for Foster parents sadly hasn’t ended.
Councillor Allan Witherick said “At 11 my mother passed away and the scary thing was realising I was just one accident or incident away from being an orphan. Thankfully I had a supportive family around me so that, should the worst happen, I wouldn’t be alone.
Not everyone is that lucky.
Fostering isn’t about being a service, it’s about being there for someone when they need it most.”
If you’d like to go to an open evening to hear more, there’s one on the 22 June, 6.30pm to 8.30pm, Ramada Hotel, Hemel Hempstead Road, Redbourn, AL3 7AF.
If you, or someone you know, would like to come along or you want to find out more about fostering, please get in touch with the recruitment team on 01438 843281Leave a comment
