It might be the centre, but the school could effect you…

Thinking about school in September 2012 might seem a long way away, and the work to get a new school in the centre of St Albans is well under way, but there’s still a lot to do.

A consultation on the proposal to open the Alban City School, a Free School, on 1 September 2012 at Hatfield Road, St Albans, AL1 3RR has now opened.

Now that the Department for Education has approved the proposal to open the new school in September 2012, subject to the completion of a funding agreement the next stage of consultation is being undertaken.

The aim is to consult on whether the school should enter into a funding agreement with the Department for Education and they need an answer by the 21 December 2011.

The easiest way you can do this is by completing the online form on the Hertfordshire County Council website at:http://www.hertsdirect.org/services/edlearn/schdevproj/
