It takes a lot to make a dream of reality, from steel girders which needed police escorts and 200 tonne cranes which had to be assembled on site at Westminister Lodge it’s been a massive undertaking.

The pool is one of the things that the Liberal Democrats were proud to be able to spearhead, and as it takes shape, it’s quite amazing to see.

It will take another 2 weeks to install all sections of the beams in the concrete and steel frame, and you can see the work in progress from the Westminster Lodge on-site visitor cabin where plans, models, and materials that will be used on site are on display.  The visitor cabin is open seven days a week 7am – 10pm.  A live webcam of the building work can be viewed on the Council’s website.  Visitwww.stalbans.gov.uk and follow the links in the In Focus box.
