Sadly the council can’t actually come nad dig the garden for you- but they can give you some compost to put on it!

The refuse and recycling team at St Albans City & District Council is holding a Great Compost Give Away event on Sunday 25^th March.

Liberal Democrat Councillor Allan Witherick said “This is an opportunity to reap what you sow, literally as the compost has come from our own green bins. Sadly it’s a first come first served as we’re not sure how many people will turn up.  Just bring a shovel and bags so you can take it yourself.”

The Great Compost Give Away is being held at Sandridge Gate Business Park in Ronsons Way, St Albans, near the Household Waste Recycling Centre, from 10am to 3pm, or until stocks run out.
