For those who heard about the Dragon’s Apprentice- the local group from St Albans Girls School (STAGS) walked off with two of the top prizes at the awards ceremony this week.

The project, which was sponsored by Cllr Allan Siao Ming Witherick from his locality budget, brought together young people from local schools and business to work together to raise funds and awareness for local charities.

Allan said “It was great to see and hear some of the different projects and ideas that local youths had implemented.  All of them had managed to raise funds, with some more business minded than others.  We need initiatives like this to really help drive the future of the UK.”
