As well as waiting for the lottery (and failing to get any!) Olympic tickets, there’s also a bigger prize awaited for 2012….
The council has put in to become a Lord Mayoralty as one of the honours being bestowed by the Queen during her Diamond Jubilee year.

Is it worth it?
It’s more than just pride, it’s another excuse to flaunt how great St Albans is and hopefully encourage tourism. With the Abbey, Museums and theatres there’s so much to do here that people just don’t know about!
When was the last time you went up the Clock Tower or saw the Old Court House?
