This week Cllr Allan Witherick was pleased to inform a number of local organisations of the grants he had awarded from his locality budget.
“With just £10,000 to distribute I waited a while to make sure I got in a number of bids before I made any decision. Having this community money is a responsibility where I want to make a positive difference and not risk missing an organisation simply because they applied later in the year.
Hopefully it will provide a great Christmas present for the organisations. For some the grants are small, but I am hopefully it will encourage others to get involved.”

In total £6,500 has been granted to a number of organisations both large and small which serve the area.

£1,000 St Albans CVS
£3,000 Judo Club
