Nestled in Catherine Street in what used to be a school, the Jubilee Centre has been in and out of the papers with the County Council withdrawing services and others eyeing this prime location for redevelopment.
Inside though things have progressed unabated and HCM (Hertfordshire Community Meals) doesn’t just provide good value hot meals for the over 60s from 12:30pm.
It opens its doors from 11:30am through to 1.30pm Monday to Friday to provide a warm welcome and an opportunity for people to make new friends.
So if you, or someone you know might be interested why not get them to pop along? It’s easy to reach from the city centre just off the top of St Peters Street and also has disabled access.
HCM also run the meals on wheels service.
