Although it’s not in the Ward, many local residents will use this route at various points and so we’ve posted it up for information.
The A1(M) will be fully closed in both directions overnight between Tuesday 8 March and Monday 14 March to allow for a change of traffic management. The works are part of the Highways Agency’s tunnel refurbishment works. The tunnel will be closed:
Advance warning and diversion signs will be in place during the work.
Northbound
If you are travelling on the A1(M) northbound (heading towards Peterborough) you will be diverted off the A1(M) at Junction 3 to proceed on the A1001 to rejoin the A1(M) at Junction 4.
Southbound
If you are travelling on the A1(M) southbound (heading towards the M25) you will be diverted off the A1(M) at Junction 4 to proceed on the A1001 then south to join the A414 to rejoin the A1(M) at Junction 2 (Welham Green).
