Are you the Trusting sort?

by awitherick on 22 March, 2011

Ever wondered how you could prepare yourself or your staff for future career development, meet some interesting people and do something worthwhile for the community all at once?

After the success of last year’s charity trustee recruitment campaign, local charities from across the district are again seeking to recruit charity trustees with a range of skills to enhance the governance of their organisations. These skills include finance, legal, admin, HR and people skills, health and social care, fundraising, marketing,  and business planning.

All content in the normal text- this just made it look nice.
Could you be a Trustee?

You are invited to find out more by coming to St Alban CVS’ trustee recruitment event on Monday 28 March from 6-8pm, at the Old Town Hall in St Albans. It is a great opportunity to find out what being a charity trustee means in practice and to meet representatives from a range of local charities and community groups from across the district. Those present will include Age Concern St Albans, Earthworks, Emmaus, St Albans and District Credit Union, Open Door, City Youth Football Club, Harpenden Seniors Club and Computer Friendly – to name just a few of the 20 organisations involved.

Feedback from the event last year was excellent:  “A great way for potential trustees to find out about local charities”; “very useful to talk to representatives from diverse groups”; and All the charities I met were impressive”.
