This Easter and May Day Bank Holiday First Capital Connect are saying that they want to get you into London so you can enjoy your days off but that you should take note of some changes.
The entire Thameslink route is OPEN on the day of the Royal Wedding (Friday 29 April) to help people visit the capital to enjoy the festivities, and services will run to an amended timetable.
But the route is CLOSED across central London (between London Bridge and St Pancras International) over Easter and on May Day Bank Holiday. There is also no service south of West Hampstead into London on Good Friday and Easter Saturday, while on Sunday 1 May, buses will replace trains between St Albans and London (this is for power upgrade work). However, your ticket will be valid on Tube or buses.
Please check before you travel, at theĀ First Capital Connect website.
